How do I keep the candies?
Always keep your candies in a cool dry area, preferably in an air-tight container. An air-conditioned environment such as the office will be most ideal. DO NOT refrigerate unless you have the iron discipline of returning your candies to the refrigerator after consumption.
My candies are all stuck together!! What do I do??
We will be honest, rock candy when left exposed, will absorb as much moisture as it can…storage conditions (as mentioned above) will be the most ideal/helpful in extending the shelf life (anything from six months to a year) but there is no such thing as an air-tight container/bag that will prevent it from clumping together unless additives are added into the rock candy.
Can I just have 1kg for a customised order?
Do note that the words within the lolly (look at the "THANK YOU" lolly on the right for reference) are all made of candy, going right through the heart of the lolly itself. Be very mindful of stores who claim that customisation can be done for a 1kg batch, watch them make it...unless we sprout hands the size of a baby, the absolute minimum for a customised order will have to be 4kg:)
How much time is required for a customised order?
Two weeks to a month before the date of pickup will be most ideal. Very much depends on our schedule and how urgent your request is, do call to check.
How many candies are there in a 10kg batch?
Everything that we do is either cut or moulded by hand. A good approximation is 4000 pieces.
How many packets will I have for a 10kg batch?
We have several packaging options available in the shop. Depending on how much candy you will like in one packet, a standard most people go by is about 35g of candy which will yield about 285 packets (10000 divide by 35).
Do you guys have any form of animal fat or gelatin that goes into the candies?
All our candies are completely free from animal fat and gelatin.
How long can I keep the candies?
The typical shelf-life will be 6 months to a year depending on where you store the candies. (refer to above for optimum storage area).
What brand of sugar is used?
Most consumers are not aware that the quality of sugar affects the taste and quality of rock candy. Here at Sticky, we use only refined sugar from SIS, please be mindful of who you buy your candies from and what ingredients they use. Rock candy is meant to be yummy not yucky!
Where are the candies made?
Yes we do get this question in our email from time to time...Sticky Singapore is the first FULL-FLEDGED customised candy store to grace the shores of Singapore where everything you see in the shop is created by us in front of our customers. Do drop by for a visual feast!
